Another 2-headed trout hatched this year in the Trout in the Classroom environmental project with Mrs. Richardson's 6th grade. During Trout in the Classroom, students raise trout fry from eggs, monitor tank water quality, and engage in stream habitat studies. Later this spring, students will release them into the Contoocook River.
Trout in the Classroom is an environmental program supported by the NH Trout Unlimited Council, Trout Unlimited Chapters, and New Hampshire Fish & Game. The Trout in the Classroom project engages students who learn to appreciate water resources, foster a conservation ethic, and gain an understanding of their ecosystem.
