What is the Free and Reduced Lunch Program?

The National School Lunch Program supports student nutrition in schools. It provides free and reduced-priced meals to children of low-income families before school, during school, after school, and over the summer.

You should know.

If you are eligible for unemployment compensation, your family might also be eligible for free or reduced-price school meals.

When can I apply to the Free and Reduced Lunch Program?

Parents should complete an application before October 15 of the school year. If a family experiences a change in financial circumstances, then a parent can apply anytime during the school year.

Who will know if I apply or get enrolled in the program?

Applications and enrollments are kept strictly confidential.
